Promoting co-operative values so when Ipswich wins, we all do

I have been a member of the Co-operative Party for a decade and have worked tirelessly to put our values into practice, and help elect friends and colleagues as Co-op councillors and MPs.

During my time as a county councillor, I was delighted to receive a Member Recognition Award for my work in bringing Co-operative Party campaigns to Suffolk. Despite the Conservatives’ overwhelming control of Suffolk County Council, I secured unanimous backing for motions on modern slavery and food poverty, and have helped increase the uptake of Healthy Start vouchers from 45% to 71%.

If elected as the Labour and Co-operative MP for Ipswich, my politics will continue to be rooted in co-operative values. That means promoting community energy projects, helping co-operative businesses and initiatives thrive and grow, and tackling the causes of poverty by supporting co-operative housing, credit unions and food justice.

It was a privilege to represent Labour and the Co-operative Party as a county councillor and I would be honoured to serve as the Labour and Co-operative MP for Ipswich.
