Over the past few years, Ipswich, and indeed our country, has suffered from a divisive, regressive politics, one that has sought to drive our communities apart.
The town deserves so much better.
Ipswich can be proud of its heritage, of its diversity and its vibrancy. We should celebrate our differences, welcome a variety of backgrounds and ideas, and enjoy experiences that may be different to our own.
It is OK to disagree on occasions, but we must also look to still talk to one another, to find compromises, to search for the things that bring us all together.
I will be a candidate and an MP that looks to bring people and communities together, to unite the Ipswich, and to move forward together, as one.
